Getting Married in the Picturesque Valley of The Crondon Park Estate

The Baronial Suite is able to stage the finest of weddings. You are able to choose between hosting your ceremony in either the Baronial Hall, The Ceremony Room or the Baronial Gardens.

Most ceremonies take place in our Ceremony Room, adjacent to the Baronial Hall. You also have use of Willows (a private lockable room) which, leads directly to the Ceremony Room. Your guests will be seated in your chosen ceremony location, all of which overlook our beautiful gardens.

All Under One Roof Wedding Ceremony Venue in Essex

The convenience of the ceremony, reception, entertainment and accommodation being in one location, is extremely popular. For summer weddings (when weather allows) we can stage the ceremony under a floral canopy in our gardens.

The ceremony is provided by the Essex Registration Services, it is a Civil Ceremony, with no religious content. However, you are able to host a blessing in addition to the Civil Ceremony in any of our licensed locations on site. Alternatively, you could have a Church Ceremony before travelling to Crondon Park for your reception.

When it’s a church wedding

The Ceremony Room is yours for the time you are there. Why not use it for welcome drinks on arrival from Church, canapes can be circulated amongst your guests while you enjoy the time having photos taken with your family and friends.

The Wedding

Arrival

It is very important that you and your guests arrive in good time for your ceremony. Please ensure that you have your arrival time confirmed, while at your final planning meeting. This allows you to meet with your registrars in good time prior to the ceremony, giving time for your guests to be seated.

Music

We have a wonderful sound system. We will discuss your music requirements at your planning meeting in advance of the day. We can accommodate live musicians or alternatively playlists can be provided and controlled by your allocated Front of House Manager.

Witnesses

The law requires that you are accompanied by two witnesses at your ceremony. They may be relatives, friends or colleagues, and will be required to stand alongside you while say your vows.

Absolutely! Crondon Park offers the ultimate convenience with everything under one roof. From your ceremony and reception to entertainment and accommodation, you and your guests won’t have to travel anywhere else.

Most couples choose our Ceremony Room, which is right next to the Baronial Hall. It’s a lovely space with views of our beautiful gardens, and it comes with a private, lockable room for the bridal party to use before the ceremony. Our secluded garden is also ideal for a summer wedding ceremony.

While our ceremonies are civil and non-religious, you are welcome to host a blessing at Crondon Park in addition to your civil ceremony. You can choose any of our licensed spaces for the blessing.

Definitely! If you’re getting married in a church, you can use our Ceremony Room for welcome drinks when you arrive at Crondon Park. It’s a great way to gather your guests while you have photos taken with family and friends.

We have a fantastic sound system at Crondon Park, and we can discuss your music choices during your planning meeting. You can bring in live musicians or provide a playlist, which can be controlled by our Front of House Manager.

Yes, you’re welcome to have live musicians for your ceremony. Whether it’s a string quartet or a solo artist, we can accommodate live music, adding that personal touch to your big moment.

We’ve got you covered! If the weather takes a turn, we can quickly switch to one of our indoor options, like the Baronial Hall or Ceremony Room, to ensure your day continues smoothly without a hitch.

A typical civil ceremony lasts around 20 to 30 minutes, depending on your personal touches, such as readings or additional elements. We’ll go through the timings with you during your planning meeting.
